Run WMC7 and Sage at same time?

This weekend, my HD200 started flaking out on me so I went out and got an xbox360. I wanted to know if it is possible to run both WMC7 and Sage at the same time.

I don't intend to use tuners at the same time, I really just want to setup WMC7 and the 360 as an extender.

Is there anything I should look out for?

Thanks!

Brian

What tuners are you using?

I've been running both SageTV and WMC7 in parallel for a couple of months now testing our WMC. I haven't seen any issues. I'm using a HDHR and a HDHR-Prime. You just have to make sure you configure specific tuners for Sage and other tuners for WMC7.

I have the HDHR and the HVR-2250. Currently both are setup in Sage, and only the 2250 is set up in WMC7.

If I don't plan on actively using the 2250 in WMC7 at the same time as in Sage should I be in the clear then?

Heh, I'm just starting on the same dang project; firing up 7MC alongside sage to see if it's gonna fill my sageTV gap. My HD100 is crapping out and damned if I'm gonna shell out what people are asking on ebay for an HD300. Plus it'll be nice to have full cablecard support.

Here's my planned setup: 7MC, HDHomeRun, HDHomeRun Prime, xbox360 slim (extender), Splashtop for streaming to ipad and android tablets. Been testing splashtop a bit recently and works decently (a bit jerky sometimes) for streaming to my tablet as long as I run at a lower resolution like 800x600. Definitely will be a workable solution for extending to tablets.
