Where does Sage get its time from?

This morning my computer very correctly switched to DST. Sage's time though is one hour behind.

When I tried to enable Sage's setting to synchronize the time with the Sage's server, SageTV wrongfully returned the clock on my computer one hour back!

I disabled that synchronization with the Sage's server, and corrected my system clock. Looks like Sage was not impressed by that. It still shows its time one hour behind. As we speak, Sage is "recording" a show which ended an hour ago.

Anything I can do to fix this mess?

That I did. I read it when they announced it, and did the updates accordingly.

As I said, my system clock changed correctly. But Sage's clock didn't.

Sage gets its time from Java (either as UTC or as local time)
Java has an internal time representation of UTC and its own set of time zone rules for caclualting local time, but it gets its time from Windows, probably as UTC as well.

Windows gets its time from the system clock (as local time) and has to convert via time zone rules to UTC.

So there is plenty of scope for errors:

Local time from internal clock -> (Windows time zone rules) -> UTC -> Java -> (Java time zone rules) -> Local time in Sage.

This page will tell you what time + GMT offset Windows thinks it is, check that the offset is correct -- if so, then your problem is with Java, otherwise it is with Windows...

Note that your system clock may be correct as local time, but if windows is mis-reporting the time zone offset then the local time will be different in Java

I have this link in my clipboard from another thread, so I might as well post it here:
