Theres only one issue I see in there - don't know if it's the cause of your issue or not.

Here is a download link - load this STV up and see if it has any difference:

I don't know this for sure but I think the main issue here is that the basic background image isn't getting loaded for some reason.

I'd try some background related changes - some you can do from BMT.

1) (BMT) Configure - Phoenix - Landing Zone Options and put a check mark in the 'Weather Backgrounds' row, then click Save.

2) In the property file, look for the phoenix/ui/background line and set it to :
Code:
phoenix/ui/background=.\STVs\Phoenix\Skins\Backgrounds\road.jpg
I don't know if either of these will work but it might.

I'm not 100% sure that road.jpg actually exists (don't have access to my server at the moment), so check that folder and make sure you have a valid file name.

Are you talking about the HD300 client properties file in the clients folder?

Took a chance and put that in the client property file exactly as you have it. The road jpg does exist in the backgrounds folder.

Did not work unfortunately.

Whilst I too have the UI issue, I can say it occurred as soon as I enabled weather backgrounds using the menu on my HD300. I've tried the various resolutions here though unfortunately without success...

I have had to completely remove Phoenix as all it displayed was a black background and the menu items did not clear as new menus were selected, so after 3 or 4 key presses, the screen became a garbled mess. Stumbling upon the detailed configuration screen and re-selecting the default UI only lasted a short while or until the next UI reload. It then reverted back to the garbled Phoenix displays.

I think there are a few of us with this issue. I am being patient waiting for a possible fix. Crossing fingers

Okay, very interesting.

I had been running Windows XP, Sage and other utility programs on my server for quite some time. And installing Phoenix gave me grief with this screen issue. So…

-On another hard drive, I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
-Installed Firefox and SIW (System Info for Windows) utility program.
-Installed SageTv 7.1.9, configured Sage and updated the STV to 2011081001.
-Installed Phoenix 4.06 Plugin.
-Went to Detailed Setup and set the UI Package to Phoenix.xml.

I then immediately saw the same as what is shown in Post #6. Then more video overlaying as I went back to Detailed Setup to switch back to SageTV7.xml.

Maybe it’s a video card issue? I have an ECS A780GM-A motherboard with an AMD Phenom 9850 quad core CPU. I’m using the onboard video which is ATI Radion HD 3200 Graphics. 2 Gig ram, a bunch of hard drives and no other cards installed. Hope this helps.

Dont think its video card problems. I have a HD200 and HD300 extenders and both exhibit this problem. I am not using a pc client at the moment.

I just updated Phoenix to the latest version and I'm having this problem as well on my hd100 extender. My pc client works just fine. So far I have deleted the clients folder in sage altogether which allows the stock stv to work, but when I reload Phoenix I get the scrambled screen where nothing disappears, things just keep getting added to it.

Nevermind... I got it to work this morning. I don't know what I was doing wrong last night, but all 3 of my extenders work just like they are supposed to now.
