Out of Memory Detected

In the last week I have twice gotten the error "Out of memory detected". I rarely received these messages in the past. Is there anything I should look for in trying to troubleshoot?

My JVM settings are 301/589/779. Should I increase this?

For sure, increase the java heap to 1024mb.

The only time I have ever had a memory issue like this was using a previous version of Diamond (3.2???) that would max out memory if you used the jump function in the movie wall, but we fixed this in 3.30 and I haven't seen it in months of use now. Make sure you are using Diamond 3.30 if you are using it still.

I am still using Diamond and I am pretty sure that I have the latest release - I don't think there is an "Upgrade Available" message in the Plugin Manager. I will try upping the JVM but I never had problems before.

Do you recommend 400h?

Off the top of my head, I think that 400 Hex is 1024 Decimal so yes.

I have always used 1024 on my Server (with HD300 attached) and 1024 on all my clients with no issues.

I've been running at that size for a while now without issue. If you go higher strange things start to happen.

comskip

I have been having the same issues and I finally narrowed it down to a plugin. I removed the comskip plugin and have not received the error since.

That's very strange. I don't have this issue and I use comskip. It may be that you have too many plugins? If it were comskip we'd see a lot more people complaining about this.
