It's a setting in the "detailed setup" area - something like "notify when new drive detected" or something like that. I'm not at home right now or I would give you the direct path.... just look around in the settings. It's a "yes/no" option, you just need to turn it off.
(in the SageTV settings, not the extender settings) On edit - I missed earlier that you said you had it disabled - are you sure you are using the same STV (UI) on the extenders as on the server?

You did change the settings in both Media Player mode and Media Extender mode???
Standalone: Settings > Adanced Setup > Customize, Display Pop-up Extender: Setup > Detailed Setup > Customize > Display Pop-up If you use both modes....
