Is it possible to embed VLC player to SageTV?
I experience a lot of frustrations playing recordings or downloaded videos on the default SageTV player. And just about every time I have a problem with the SageTV player, I can pop the same video into VLC player and it plays the same video flawlessly.
I always wished I could just embed VLC player to SageTV and be finally rid of my problems. Is that possible?

Depending on how much work you want to do within Studio. There are lines in the .properties files that will support an alternate player. But it takes more than just populating those lines. TheHere is a post related to the Media Player plugin you can create.

The hardest part is that the plugin needs to be able to display to a passed hWnd handle, which I don't think any external programs do.
