Can Sage Embed a static IR command before changing channels?

I have Bell's new HD PVR the model 9200 and it has a built in inactivity timer that puts up a screen saver after it has been idle for a while. Problem is that when this idle timer kicks in and Sage goes to record all I get is hours of endless screen saver. To wake the sat receiver up you either need to issue the power or select command.

I am currently using a USB-UIRT as a blaster to change the channels on my sat receiver. If there is some way I could configure Sage to issue the sat receivers "select" command prior to changing the channel that would wake it up and record properly.

I have already spoken to BEV's customer service department and there is no way to disable or extend this screen saver.
