Problem recording 2 programs at once.

Sage will not let me record 2 channels at the same time from my Hauppauge HVR-2250. Both tuners are listed in the source setup, one as WinTV-7164 Analog Capture TV Tuner and the other is listed as WinTV 7164 Analog Capture S-Video.
I have configured themas follows:
1) Analog cable input to the Coax connector and configured with a local basic channel lineup (Channels 2-99)
2) Cable box output to the 2250’s S video port configured with a different local digital lineup (Channel 100 and above)
None of the channels in the 2 lineups overlap for instance channel 34 only appears in lineup 1 for tuner 1 and channel 1235 only appears in lineup 2 for tuner 2. If I record from tuner 1, say channel 34 and then try to tune to channel 1235 which should use tuner #2 I receive a message saying "watching this program conflicts with the recording of the first program " and I have options to change channels anyway or don’t do anything. Each tuner works fine as long as I use only one at a time.
Since I am trying to use 2 independent tuners configured with 2 different channel lineups I don’t understand why I cannot do this. Any Thoughts?

I believe you should also have another bracket with auxiliary inputs for s-video/composite in addition to the ones you see on the card bracket. Each tuner works in conjunction with a single set of inputs but can only use 1 input at a time. You will need to plug the s-video input into the auxiliary bracket and configure Sage to use the second analog tuner.

Think of your card has having 2 tuners:

Tuner A analog/s-video/digital
Tuner B analog/s-video/digital

The issue is that you have setup SageTV to use

Tuner A analog

and

Tuner A s-video

So of course they are not independent and only one program can be recorded at a time.

So gplasky is suggesting a way to access "Tuner B s-video", though it might be easier to use "Tuner B analog" simply by editing the analog tuner and selecting the second analog choice that is probably available...
