Actisys not working as expected
I have Sage running on Windows 7 32 bit and I'm trying to get the ACTiSys ACT-IR200L on COM1 configured. I did not install the vendors drivers per instructions and followed the sage setup to add external source setup. I'm using a comcast DTA and since this was not listed I manually created the device. Using the remote I was able to configure channels & this worked fine for each channel. However, when trying to use the device the ACTiSys does not seem to be blasting the channels to the DTA. I've removed the device and recreated and it still does not work. I've tried the testing option to send codes to the device but it is not blasting. I have the DTA output going to a TV so I can see the output but nothing appears to be sent from the actisys. I've moved from a few inches to 2 feet but with the same result. I also have the usb uirt for another comacast DTA and it followed the same instructions but it has been working fine for 3 weeks so I have experience configuring these type of devices but I'm confused why the ActiSys will learn the codes but not blast them back to the device. Any ideas?
Update: I noticed when blasting there are 2 faint red lights coming from the ActiSys IR while the USB Irt has a bright red light when blasting. It seems that the device may not be putting out a strong enough signal but that is only a guess and I would need someone who has it working to know if this is expected or unexpected behavior.
