mysql installed - SageTV service does not start...

So I installed mysql 5.1 on my sage box. wanting to use it to sync databases across multiple XBMC clients.

When I go to restart SageTV service, using the SageTV Service Control applet. I get a message stating "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"

So I reboot. And try again. Same thing. I stopped the SageTV service when I installed mysql just because it seemed the right thing to do.

I also made a full image backup before installing mysql! Which I will restore right now. (alas it seems my XBMC instances are not sharing the database - maybe I should not have entered a root password)

In any case, I am curious if MySQL and SageTV cannot co-exist on the same box?

SageTV Version 7. (Back end only no rendering)
WinXP 32 bit Service Pack 2
MySQL 5.1

Other servers run on the Sage box.
neilm's web server
jetty web server
sagex api
sabdnzbd

all happily coexist

Seems MySQL install nuked my SageTV license.

Upon my re-image (pre MySQL install) I assumed everything was back to normal. When Neilm's web server was not responding I checked the service. It was not running. Tried restart- same message as before I re-imaged. (My heart starts pounding at this point) So I launch sage outright from Start menu (via RDP) and was informed my evaluation had expired.

Re-entered key. And all is well.

Why would installing third party apps effect SageTV license key?
And a feature request - have the Sage service manager state outright: License no longer valid.

Perhaps this is covered somewhere in the forums? If sage service manager had produced enough verbiage I might have discovered this before starting a new thread.
