View multiple channels on same transponder on a DVB-S card

Hi Guys,
i am an newbie an i testing sage/tv hd theater
i have build in 2 video sources one Technotrend DVB/S 2400 and one Hauppauge WinTv Nova DVB/T. both cards are working not satisfied about the quality but it works. and now my question when i show a channel on the dvb-s card and i want watch another on another client, which is on the same transponder, then i get an error. i can only look the same channel which is showing on the other client or i have to show a channel on another card. normaly it should be possible to show different channels when they are on the same transponder, or not?

cheers
Helmut

I believe there is a network encoder app that will do this (DVBE4Sage). I think you set IT up to manage your actual tuners, and it presents this as multiple 'virtual' tuners to sage.

It would be nice if there was something like this that worked with QAM tuners. Here in okc on Cox Cable our network channels are grouped together on just a few channels. If this capability were extended to QAM I would need half the tuners to record what we watch.

I don't know how tied DVBE4Sage is to DVB tuners, but it IS open source, i believe, which means it may be possible.
