Windows 2000 (win2k) Sage V7 Possible

Hi All
Am trying to limp along with an old Win2K server until I can afford to build a new box. Win 2K svc pak 4, 2.8 ghz cpu with 1 gig ram. Sage loaded fine, but the main screen will not show. looks like it boots up ok, but then it stalls and i never see the interface. Any ideas? Thanks

The specifications says it works with Windows 2000, but I haven't heard of anyone using it on the Win2K server edition. Are you trying to watch it on the computer screen or an extender? Is it possible to run it on XP instead of Win2K server?

Could you post more information about your setup?

Dave

I'm guessing that Win2K Server does not include DirectX. You might try downloading and running the DX diagnostics on it to see what it says.

Ok - I got it working.
It was the DirectX install. I had an older version.
Also note that Win2K will not let you download the DirectX auto installer, probably due to its retired status. I had to find a complete install package and use it.

All is well. Will update system to state of the art equipment after cash cow delivers.

Thanks for all of the help.

Where would one acquire this "cash cow" you speak of?
