HD200 images Fuzzy

Plucky,

I know this issue is logged on google code in regards to Diamond, but you referenced that you used the same image resizing in MyMovies so i figured i'd do a separate post here.

Firstly, i want to preface this with, i LOVE this plugin!!!! i just finally got it installed and it runs amazing on my server and ok on my HD200.

On the HD200 I notice my covers are all fuzzy. I was wondering if this was a similar issue to the one referenced in the Diamond thread regarding the .png files and maybe trying a different resize algorithm such as lanczos or something. Do you know of any way to batch redo the cached covers somehow with lanczos or something to see if it looks better on the extenders?

I have never noticed it much in smm. The hd200 of course does not run at hd res like the hd300 so the images will never look as sharp on a hd200. You could try turning scaling to oxo for posters and see if that looks any better.

Not sure I follow, i thought the HD200 could output at 1080p, how does this differ from the HD300? I never noticed the covers on my HD200 looking fuzzy using the MovieWall.

also If i change it from the default to 0x0 (no scaling) won't that make it uber slow?

The Sage interface doesn't run at 1080p. It runs at a lower resolution. The HD300 Sage interface now runs at 1280 x 720. Both will output video at up to 1080p.

Correct and the hd200 only runs at 1024x576 so even lower.

If you don't notice them being fuzzy on your wall then what are you complaining about?

wow, gotta say I had no idea about the resolution thing, thats kinda ridiculous considering it outputs 1080p . . . (mulls HD300 purchase)

I can always try the scaling thing back to 0x0 and see how slow it becomes. How bad do you think it'll get? I turn off backgrounds so its just the covers . . .

You have to remember rendering a hd ui takes much more procesing power and memory than a hd video completely different things.

I would try it and see how it works for you. You will be lowering the cache limit and such but shouldn't be too awful. If they don't look blurry on the wall I wouldnt mess with it to much though.
