some silly questions...
ever since upgrading to v7, the webUI never worked... so I spent about an hour today looking at jetty setup and crap to try and find out why...
but everything was set correctly... so just for the fun of it, I fired up the browser, pointed at //server:8129 (the port I am using because I am already using the 'stock' port for something else) and there BMT was... all happy and stuff... well, new/changed looking though, but definitely there and happy... what happened? have I just been hallucinating for the last couple of months and BMT webUI has been fine the whole time? did someone sneak in and fix it while I wasn't watching? but that brings me to my next question... I don't remember there being a "Missing Metadata" button there before? where did that come from? and why does it say pretty much my whole library is missing metadata? there is also this cool "find Metadata" button that just works wonderfully... and that brings me to my next question, since the "find Metadata" button works so well, usually just comes up with one or two options, why cant BMT just go find the data itself without me needing to go title by title, pressing that admittedly wonderful button?

There are many reasons why the web may not work after an upgrade but I bet that you had residual jars laying around. I created an upgrade tool for people that upgraded from 6 to 7. Did you use that. You only need to use it when you upgrade and not for a fresh install
As for the new views and buttons, they've been there for some time now. The missing metadata view basically shows items that are missing some important metadata or fanart. Bmt can automatically update the metadata but it only does it when new files are added to your library. The find metadata button is how you do it from the web ui. I hope this helps to explain things.
