Pages 144 - 152 in the SageTV_v4_0_Manual.pdf should have all of your answers.

Good luck.

I would suggest first remiving the source from within Sage and running the configuration wizard again. It sounds like Sage is not seeing your analog cable as an input.

How is your box connected to the internet? Do you have a firewall? If Sage cannot pull the guide info from the net, you will not see any channels. (in other words, Sage does not scan your cable system to get channel info like a TV does)

What capture card are you using?

thx again lakeman.

i am connected to the net with no firewall. the thing is that i dont connect through a cable box , rather i connect through a normal coax cable from the cable socket (its cheaper im a student LOL). so i guess its like an antena with loads of channels (about 60). as for the Epg my country (israel) dosent have a epg type thing (as far as i know), so does it mean i cant use sage? thx for all your help, maybe ill be able to watch tv tonight

Do you have a TV Capture Card? Or just a cable modem?

If it is just a cable modem, then Sage will not see a recording source and therefore no channels.

You would have to look into using XMLTV for your channel listings.

thx eveyone

yeah of course i have a tv capture card (wintv pvr 150). its connected to the wall socket of my cable provider (like a tv would be connected with no set top box). its just that i cant get no channels. other pver progs (media portal, gb pvr) had a autotune option so i got all the channels. with sage there is no option.
thx again

Zeltak
