Movies won't play - Paths issue?

Hi All,

I have an issue - which originally was just a few movies but now seems to have spread to my entire collection now I upgraded to latest versions all round (smm 1.17, Mymovies 1.61PR2).

I am getting the "no SageID found to play for this movie" error message. I know normally this relates to case sensitivity and paths etc.

My movies are stored under a folder called Videos with various subfolders like this:

\\core\Videos\DVDs\HD\I Am Legend\BDMV
\\core\Videos\DVDs\SD\I Am Legend\Video_TS
\\core\Videos\DVDs\Kids\Teletubbies\Video_TS

Etc.

I have only added 1 folder to sage, \\core\Videos

The error message I get in SMM when I try to play is this (exact copy including upper / lower case):
Current Movie path: \\core\Videos\DVDs\SD
Current Sage Import Directories : \\core\Videos

All the movies play fine with normal SageTv.
I am running WHS, and watching on HD200 or HD300's
  • I have tried removing the folder from Sage, rescanning.. then adding the folder.
  • I tried "update stored meta-DAta for all titles in database" from the WHS console.
  • I tried Optimize database from collection manager, and I checked the disc path in collection manager. they all match \\core\Videos\DVDs\SD\I am Legend
  • I tried Refresh import from the SMM menu
  • I waited hours, then days for the automatic refresh to resolve this.
  • I read the Wiki & searched this forum (again).

So.. last resort.. what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Plucky,

I have Collection manager 3.18 PR4 installed (taken from help about).
On WHS, under plugins I see 1.6.1.2

So.. are you saying I have to roll back to 3.18 PR3?

Thanks

Try moving the folder out of the sage and collection manager path and put an empty put same name folder in its place. Rescan in both Sage and with collection manager. Move movie folder back into place, rescan in both again.

Possibly nonsense but did the trick for me

Great - thanks Plucky that fixed it.
Took me a while to find how to rebuild the datafile. For future reference here is the step by step:

Setup > SageTV Plugins > Installed Plugins
Under the general tab you should find SageMyMovies API.
Select it and choose configure Plugin.
Then choose "Rebuild Datafile"

Plucky, I wanted to add this to the Wiki.. but couldn't find how. Is this locked down?
