How to play DIVX movies in Sage

I am reading that DIVX is supported in Sage. I have created a couple files and put them in my import directory, refreshed but still do not see them. Is there something special I need to do to get sage to see them?

I have installed DIVX player which I assume has the required Codec.

Is this a setting? configuration? version issue? Duh factor?

Using Sagetv 2.1

I think with divx 6 they started changing the extension to .divx from .avi - so maybe just add .divx to the sage props file.

The file I created is .divx and here is my seeker entry from sage props:

seeker/video_library_import_filename_extensions=.mpg,.mpeg,.mp2,.mpeg2,.mpe,.avi,.divx,.mpg1,.ts

Any thoughts?

yeah, as i said in the previous post, just add .divx to that line - I did and it works perfectly fine. I'm using the newest v3 beta - not sure if that matters.

Since sage doesn't support the divx 6 extra features anyway, you can just rename the files to have a .avi extension and they should still work fine.

Ok, this is strange. The DIVX extension has been in the seeker line since day one yet it would not display the file. I was on a client machine and selected the medial refresh and it now shows! I did this on the server two days ago and it did not show. Strange but who cares...it works!

Thanks for the suggestions!
