Overscan compesation on the HD-300?

I've been using SageTV from my computer. I have to use NVidia's overscan compensation because the TV overscans so much that Windows is unusable because title and task bars are off-screen otherwise.

Does the HD-300 provide a similar overscan compensation? I saw the FAQ mentions custom resolutions - is that the way to do this? Or is the built-in SageTV overscan procedure adequate since it is the primary UI?

Yes, it has overscan compensation for the OSD, but this doesn't apply to videos/media.

I can check to see if you don't have a setting on your TV to fix this. I had noticed the same thing when connected to my TV via HDMI but when going through some settings on the TV (when selected that that input) I saw one and thought "Hmm... wonder what that does?" and selected it and everything aligned perfectly where as before the bottom bar and left icons in Windows were almost entirely off the screen.
