Any way to overscan VMR9 only?

Good afternoon,

I finally have upgraded from SDTV to my new Samsung LN-S4095 1080p LCD TV.

However, I've used the nVidia display driver to auto-adjust down to compensate for the 5% overscan issue with this TV hooked up through HDMI. The Windows deskop fits perfectly this way... and I've sized the Sage GUI overscan settings correctly.

Now, I have 2 PVR-250's and 1 PVR-150 capture card for SDTV. When displaying video recorded from these sources, it underscans on the new TV. Is there anyway to compensate for this without losing my perfectly-fitted Windows Desktop?

Additionally, I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the PVR-150 to display non-washed out video on the LCD panel. It looked fine on the CRT......

I also have an AverTV A180 and the picture quality is outstanding.. aside from a minor stutter on 1080i content... still working on that one (vid card is a GeForce 7950GT overclocked)

Use the Aspect Ratio setting in sage to adjust the size of only the playing video. I usually set this to overscan slightly to push the CC data at the top of the video off the screen. HTH

Aloha,
Mike
