Yet another I cant get this to work right thread from Me

Long story short.. Everything is working except for my OTA Antenna on my Win PVR 1600.. It doesn't find anything at all.. Same antenna works great connected directly to my TV..

Also in the SageTV server is a Win PVR 2250 that is currently being used to do Analog cable.. Would I be better off switching the functions? My goal is 2x tuners of each Analog Cable & OTA..

System:
Abit AN-M2HD
Phenom 9850e
4gb DDR2 800
Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit)
2x Samsung Eco 1.5TB drives
1x Samsung Eco 1tb drive

& as soon as its back from RMA I will have an 80gb Intel SSD for the boot drive.

System is not directly connected to a Monitor at all. All system functions done via VNC. Have 2x HD200's & 1x HD100 extenders in play. All hard wired.

Edit: Damn as soon as I posted the thread I realized I put fright instead of right in the title.

The HVR1600 has always been a bit flaky for me. I currently have it doing OTA without a problem. When i switched the function of this tuner I had to go into the Sage Properties file and change something in there from QAM back to ATSC or something of that sort.

Search around and see if you can find anything on the hvr1600. I take a look for ya too and see if i can find the post that directed me to do the above.

I'll second the hvr1600 being flaky. Mine worked for a while and now seems to of died.

I switched to the HD Homerun and that resolved 80% of my issues.

The good thing about the Homeruns is you get (2) tuners with each box and they can be anywhere on your home network (as long as you have a cable and LAN network connection) and work. This allowed me to move my server into another room.

hmm.. Looks like this is an issue with the 1600 & OTA specifically.. Maybe I will be best just switching cables And use the 1600 for analog cable & the 2250 for the OTA.

/me says screw it..

I just setup an RMA for that Win TV HVR 1600 & ordered a Dual Tuner HDHomeRun.. It seems like everyone everywhere says its the best. It just wasn't on my consideration list to begin with since I also need analog cable, but the 2250 is already doing that fine.

So we will try this again in a few more days with a little different angle.

Not a bad choice :-) i also run an HDHR and an HVR2250 both of which work phenomenally!
