How to rename a thread?

Call me crazy, but I thought there was a way to rename threads When I upgrade my plugins I'd like to rename the thread with the new version number (e.g. Mobile Web Interface 1.1). I tried to edit the first post and change its title but that only changed the title of the post, not the whole thread. I thought I used to be able to do this. Am I missing the obvious?

You need to be a administrator to change the titles. Just PM Opus4 and he'll do it for you.

I replied to this last night & forgot to hit "Submit Reply"... so here it is from my browser's page history...

You can't rename a thread. I try to keep an eye out for changed titles on customization topics, but I don't always see them. If your change doesn't get noticed after a day or so, you can PM me. (Just don't PM me immediately after your change, please.)

Ha. Thanks to both of you for the info. Could you update the Jetty plugin thread's name to reflect version 1.5?

My habit is to feature the version number prominently on the download page (where I can easily update it), but leave it out of the thread title (which only Andy can change).

In other words, choose a thread title that will remain descriptive over the life of the plugin, and not just for the initial release.
