Java heap monitor not always visible
Hi,
I'm running 7.0.19 on linux via an HD300 with malore menus, Fuzzy's_Malore_Tweaks, Malore_SeasonEpisode and Phoenix Fanart for Malore Menus. I've noticed that the java heap monitor does not display on the screen unless it has "something else" next to it to hang off of. For example, while the "REC" icon is on the screen, the heap monitor is visible. But when the "REC" icon goes away, so does the heap monitor. It seems to always work using the linux placeshifter client, but I think that's because the little moon and maximize/un-maximize icons are there, so there is something for the monitor to "hang off of". Is this a known bug, or am I just lucky? Thanks, Drew

Drew,
That's a known bug. I've just been too lazy to fix it. Tom

Drew,
I just looked at the code and this bug was fixed (I thought) in the current version. Does it behave the same if it is the only plugin? Tom

- remove all UI Mods except JHM - reload UI At this point, the JHM appeared. - re-install all UI Mods, reloading UI for each. The idea was to find the plugin that clobbered JHM. But none of them did! Eg, I have the same set of plugins installed as before, but now JHM is working. I did not update JHM (was already at latest). Maybe it is either a very transient bug, or it has something to do with the order that the UI mods are loaded.. Drew

Update -- I'm an idiot. I realized that when I was re-installing my plugins, I forgot the CVF (custom video folder) plugin. When I installed that, the JHM disappeared. When I disabled CVF, JHM re-appeared. So I think CVF is the problem..

Thanks, is there a secret handshake? Err.. well, nevermind, I'd probably forget it.
![]() Any way to figure out the CVF / JHM conflict? Drew

Drew,
I can see where/why the conflict is happening and I'll see what can be done to avoid it. Tom
