How to miss watching the static off od a HDPVR

I just rebuilt my sage server and cannot remember of find the setting so that when I start watching a recording from my HDPVr I don't get the staatic at the begining. Right now I get static, the picture hangs for a few seconds, then starts play. I want to delayy it about 5secs.

Thanks

In your sage.properties set
Code:
mmc/encoders/{TUNER_ID}/delay_to_wait_after_tuning=x
where TUNER_ID is the tuner ID for your HDPVR
and x is the number of miliseconds you want to delay (1s = 1000ms) 5000 if you want a full 5 sec delay.

No clue on that one. Although if you don't have the 1st 5 seconds of the recording because of the delay setting, the recording will automagically start at 5 seconds.

On another completely unrelated note, talk about a coincidence?...

too funny.

But I noticed that existing recording have a static right at the beginning, so thats why I was trying to start the playback 5 sec in.

The static is most likely caused by your HDPVR locking into the resolution after a channel change. If you start recording 5 seconds in, then that locking in has already occurred before it records. No reason to start watching 5 seconds in.

I'm gonna take a swag that (s)he's thinking about existing recordings. If this is the case, suck it up you can't have recorded THAT many and future recordings should be ok with the extended delay

If you really want to start a few seconds into every recording, try setting this property to the # seconds * 1000 (value is milliseconds):

videoframe/time_to_start_into_tv_file_playback=5000
