More flexibility for Favorites

I would really like more flexibility when setting up Favorites.
I usually set up Favorites to record on a specific channel. Often when I look in Program Guide I do not see "F" icon. Then I am trying to investigate why the show is not scheduled to record. In many cases it is because it is already recorded. But often I cannot find missing show in my Recordings at all. I am not sure how the scheduling is done. The show may have been recorded and then deleted to free hard drive space or marked as Watched and deleted and now it will not record again?
Very confusing. And frustrating.

I would like to decide how do deal with what to record and what not.
It could be done in advanced options for Favorites.

1. Disregard "Watched" or "Don’t Like" flag.
2. Record ALL shows unless already present on hard drive and available for viewing
3. If show is already recorded and is present on a hard drive it should be marked in Program Guide as yellow "R" instead of red "F" and relinked to a new recording time. (if Favorite is set for a specific Channel)

I hope SageTV developers read this and will agree to add more flexibility for favorites in some form.

I'd like to see a way to use Favorite to record a movie or similar event that doesn't have episodes. When I try this, I get conflicts because Sage tries to schedule all airings. I just want it to figure out the best time to record one and only one airing. You shouldn't have to have global settings enabled, such as try to detect repeat airings -- which doesn't work so well anyway.
