Need help using Favorites???

Hi All,

Long time sagetv user, but haven't been on the forums for about a year.

Im still using sage version 2.0.19 still is working good.

But I have just recently been getting interested into using the favorites feature. I don't really know how it works & can't seem to find any of the recording that it supposibly recorded for me.

To start off, I find a show that I would like for it to start recording for me. I go into through the guide & then tell it "Add Favorite" then I tell it to record first runs & reruns, any channel, auto delete NO, no padding.

I see the time my favorite is on, & I notice that it has a white border around it in the guide, & if I go into system info it says it recording "tv show I picked", but after it is over I go to find it, & no where to be found. I even have some of the same show that I recorded using manual record & they don't show up their either.

Can someone hlep me figure this out, is it a bug? Or is it ignorance, or a setting?

Go to SageTV Recordings, use the Options command, and make sure Display Filter is set to ALL or at least something that includes Favorites.

I would reccomend upgrading to 2.2.8 and see if that helps. For me it has been the most stable version.

Wow you've never used the favorites before!!!! That's the best thing about Sage, you'll be sick when you get it working realize what you've been missing.

Thanks for all the help guys, I rebooted my system & they seem to show up. I also took opus's advice & changed my options to view all. Now everything seems to be working ok.

Yea, I guess I just always ignored the "favorites" options. Maybe I will get more into them now that they are working. Do the favorites do anything else beside record shows that you tell it to such as a season, does it have any other features?
