I would log a support call yourself, just had a baby so not had chance to do much at the moment in the evenings. 7.0.16 seems to have fixed the ch4 probs. I still get probs with my sattelite feeds breaking up randomly, signal strength is 100% so struggling to know if its sage or the signal.

Hi,
Would do but the problem seem to have been solved with 7.1.6. I have noticed a different kind of problem where occassionally the video stops, I think between recordings, only for a few seconds and then plays as if in fast forwards (no sound) and finally after a couple more seconds seems to be OK again, the problem is only occassional. It is possible to rewind and the video plays without problems, this appears to be a different glitch and may only be affecting me? Is anyone else having this sort of problem? Thanks, David |

Been having problems with Channel 4 and noticed it on E4, More4 and on some BBC channels since v7.0.13. I have just upgraded to 7.0.17 and see the problem is still there on Channel4 (Not had time to try other channels yet).
Just wanted to know if anyone has logged this as a bug with Sage. Not had a stable set up since v7.0.11. Been away most of the time and thought I best get this logged before v7 comes out of beta. Should add this is on two Dual Nova-T 500 DVB-T cards. Going to log this as a bug as I now have some free time. Has 7.0.17 fix this problem for any one or are the problems still there? Dean

I've had a long standing issue with Channel 4 / E4 programs - only certain shows.
Not sure if its the same problem. With my issue playback skips forward 30 seconds on HD200 but not on MVP or PC SageTV Client. Sound familiar? Michael |

Set up some testing where I set up four manual recordings of 10mins across 4 channels (across 4 different transponders). When the fault occurs it happens across all 4 recording at the same time. Thinking this may be a hard drive problem I added a new recording directory on another (newer) hard drive and I still have the same problem. Now here is the strange part. I have enabled debugging and have noticed a file that is created call ErrorCatch.log. This files time stamp is the same time the stutter happens in my files. Here is an example of the lines in this file. “Free wrong memory. Free wrong memory. >>>>Invalid memory block, addr:0x108F1916 line:397 of ".\NativeCore\DVBPSIParser.c";(addr:0x06467476 line:158 of ".\NativeCore\DVBPSIParser.c" size:64(44) ). >>>>Mem inf was lost, addr:0x108F1916 line:168 of ".\NativeCore\DVBPSIParser.c";(addr:0x00000000 line:0 of "" size:0(44) ). >>>>Invalid memory block, addr:0x10A25FD6 line:1766 of ".\NativeCore\TSFilter.c";(addr:0x10933C26 line:1779 of ".\NativeCore\TSFilter.c" size:219(4) ). >>>>Mem inf was lost, addr:0x10A25FD6 line:1796 of ".\NativeCore\TSFilter.c";(addr:0x00000000 line:0 of "" size:0(4) ). >>>>Invalid memory block, addr:0x108AE5CE line:1779 of ".\NativeCore\TSFilter.c";(addr:0x109CD92E line:1766 of ".\NativeCore\TSFilter.c" size:4(181) ).” Have logged this was Sage let see what they say. Going to test my aerial booster as well as I changed it a few months ago. Then downgrade back to v7.0.11 (version v7.0.12 has a problem with the Wiz.bin and metadata) Will keep you updated. Dean

I've logged several cases of the TSFilter crashes for both .16 and .17. Disappointed to note it wasn't fixed for .17 and that it doesn't appear on the known issues list. In my case the service crashes and will not auto-restart, manual intervention is needed to get up and running again.

7.0.16-17 has fixed the skipping issues for me, but i am seeing a 'no signal' for a second or two whenever i tune to a channel. It happens with both BVB-T & S. Also it seems worse for on radio channels as it will go to 'no signal' for a couple of minutes before getting a signal whenever a new programme starts. With the TV channels i get the smooth transition introduced in V7.

I'm working with Sage support on a similar/same issue and so far it's looking good what I'm testing.

I change the booster around the same time as v7.0.13 which caused the problem with video pausing. Switched back to my old booster and seems to have fixed the problem but need to test further. Which bring me to the reason I changed them in the first place. When I used to tune into Sky Sports News or any thing on that transponder the signal was around 40% and would cause problems. Changing the booster fixed that problem (well sort of) and the signal would be 100% Just out of curiosity what are other people using to boost their DVB-T Signals if at all. I do this to feed two DVB-T cards. The aerial plugged into one card direct works fine but if I split the signal it will not work. So using a booster works fine. Dean

Hi
I am using a "TVX 67A" from: http://www.taylorbros.co.uk/PDF%20PA...2-12%20WEB.pdf when it was delivered, it's gain was set to 100%, and this caused big problems with channel scanning and very choppy pictures. By backing the gain back to about 15%-20% this returned to what you would expect. Having said that - it is a great unit, very well made - but expensive! hope this helps...

Televes 5522 Setback Amp
If you wanted something a bit cheaper this has worked well for me, in the past i tried small amps from woolworths and B&Q which always gave me problems, this has worked great on the same aerials.
