|
Network access while using service mode?
I've searched the forum until I'm blue in the face tonight, does anybody have an answer for searching the network while SageTV v7 Beta is configured to run as a Windows Service?

You need to configure the service to run with a userID and password that has access to the network resources. All you machines should have a common user with the same password. That would be the ID to use. Also should be in the local Administrators group.

GPlasky, thanks for your reply, but I have already configured my workstation, domain and nas to use the same username/password, and it is in the administrators group of all 3 as well. When browsing a network share from windows, everything works great, but when I try to do this from within SageTV (where the SageTV service is running under the same account as my windows desktop), it does not work.
Any ideas on the problem or how to type in a network path manually in SageTV 7? Thanks in advance! -Stach

Is this on an extender and do you have the latest firmware 20100811 0?
