Controlling two HD-PVR with WHS: USB-UIRT vs Firewire..which one??

about to setup my WHS again with sagetv...used to use firewire for hdpvr x2 previously but was having tons of issues with recordings...resorted to loading sagetv on a windows 7 PC and happened to also load the 1.0513 drivers which have worked great for the most part...now going back to WHS sagetv and afraid to use firewire again..bought a USBuirt that should be coming in the mail today or tomorrow and I want to setup sagetv but wanted to know what people's preferences/experiences are with both on WHS...which one do you like better??
Firewire channel changing or the simplicity of two IR transmitters with a stereo to dual mono plug splitter with the USBUIRT.

Never tried firewire but the USB-UIRT has always worked perfectly for me.

I don't follow what you are saying in the above quote. One USB-UIRT controls both my dish boxes without any additional plugs.

Dish has the luxury of multiple remote addresses, so a single emitter can control many boxes. Cable and DirecTV, on the other hand, all boxes (of the same brand) use the same codes, so you have to have a separate zoned emitter for each STB.
