EPG Favorite Channels ?

Anyone know if there is a plugin available for for v7 that will provide for
selection in the EPG via a "favorites" menu?
There used to be a Favorite Channel List STV import for SageMC and previous versions that provided this.
With several hundred channels to scroll through to find a few favorites it would be a great addition!

It is not very elegant but I am pretty sure that you could change the channel numbers so that your Favourites (spell it like a Canadian!) are renumbered to show up first or you could prefix them with 0- or something like that. I can't remember the exact term but I am pretty sure that the channel number for epg purposes can be different from the tuning number - this is done through the whole Setup Sources area.

I didn't see anything when I searched my plugins last night, but I was just checking to see if anything has been created for the epg favorites yet?

If not, I'll just do what wayner suggested as it will still serve the main purpose of not having everything so scattered out on the guide.

Thanks

Sorry I've let everybody down with my plugins for V6. Just had no time to even visit the forums until recently. You will probably be better off not waiting for me to make a version of my FCL pluging for V7. I will say however that at some point (maybe not till SageTV V8.0) I will port FCL to the current version of SageTV.

Chaning channel numbers is quite easy in V7. Press options button in EPG-guide, select channel manager, choose "Remap" and enter new channel number - done. :-)

I agree that is why I hesitate a little to actually port it. But FCL also allowed you to filter the guide to ONLY show the channels you wanted. So when the guide wraps around it only does so on channels you want to see not all the others that you have moved earlier/later than the channels you were interested in seeing. I don't think the standard guide does that. But I've just started with SageTV V7 so I haven't discovered much about it yet.

Yeah, that's more what I was talking about. Have a HD guide all grouped together for the HD TVs, and then another guide for the SD tv's w/analog cable included.

I can still achieve something similar though by just sticking a 1 in front of all the HD channels that are my favorites and a 2 in front of the SD i suppose. I'll still have to loop through all the rest of the channels, but I guess it isn't that big of a deal.

Does anybody know if there is a way to do this in v7? Just updated to 7 and loving it so far except this was a big hit in our house.

Thanks!

I never thought about this before, but I'd actually like to have this as well. I may see how hard this may be to create in studio.
