HD-PVR 1212 stops running after 14 hours

I'm recording to a "Null File" using the HD-PVR 1212, it stops capturing video after 14 hours on each of my 4 units , is it possible to run the HD-PVR 24hrs?
Has anyone tried to run it for 24 hours straight?

Start Video capture to a Null File: cat /dev/video0>/dev/null

*
After 12 - 14 hours , the HD-PVR stops capturing , and you must restart.

What file system are you using? You may be hitting a maximum file size limitation. HDPVR probably requires about 10GB per hour, so 14 hours would generate a ~140GB file.

It looks like NTFS (used by most recent versions of Windows) has a limit of 16TB.

I'm guessing you are using Linux, which supports several different file systems. I don't use Linux myself, but I know EXT3 is a common one. From a quick check on Wikepedia, EXT3 has a file size limit that ranges from 16GB to 2TB, depending on block size.

When recording to /dev/null, there is no "file". Every bit written to it is immediately tossed

Also my HD-PVR uses about 6GB/hour with 1080i fixed from FiOS, not that that's relevant when using /dev/null.
