Ripped DVDs - menu navigation broken and playback stops on HD200

I don't know if this is a beta issue but I just noticed it recently as my kids started watching many more ripped DVDs on the HD200 than before (I never noticed it before the beta). I have several ripped DVDs where I don't see a "cursor/selection marker" in the menus so it is very difficult to even get them started. Once I do get them to play after several minutes playback just stops (almost as if it is paused) and I have to manually stop playback to recover. Then, when I restart the movie it starts over from the beginning and I fast forward to the correct spot where it plays past the place where it got stuck before. Then after some random time it gets stuck again. Any idea what might cause this? Anyone else seeing this in the beta? Thanks.

Do you have the very latest firmware for the HD200?

I had the same issue and they released an update that fixed it.
