Total Media Extream Update broke Ripped DVDs playback in Sage

Has anyone else seen this?

I just updated my TME software to play a Slumdog Millionaire on BluRay and suddenly my ripped DVDs will not playback properly with the ArcSoft codec. I get the huge pink pixels everywhere. I had the same problem in the TME player until I turned off Hardware acceleration but that change did not fix Sage. Same thing in Overlay and VMR9.

I can change the codec to SageTV and it will playback fine. The Sage codec actually looks good but I have always had trouble with DVD menu navigation. The marker on the DVD menu that marks where I am is missing. It makes navigating the menus difficult.

This is ATI 780G/3200 hardware on XP. Just updated to the latest ATI drives with no change.

I have read that TMT 3 does not register it's codec. I suspect it would overwrite the ones from the previous version as well.

I have not messed with it yet, but there is a work around to register the codecs at AVS...

TMT 3 does not register its codec (confirmed). You have to manually register them. There is some information in various places. Basically, you want to use regsvr32 to register all of the .ax files in the TMT codecs directory.

The pixelation issue, I open the TMT program, loaded a DVD, while the DVD is playing, go to the settings and disable hardware acceleration, apply the changes, re-enable, apply. That has fixed the issue in the past for me.
