Plugin: Music Tweaks for SageTV7
Some small tweaks to make the Music browser in SageTV V7 a little more friendly. For now the only tweak is to make Sage recognize the "disc" ID3Tag so that when browsing multi-disc albums the songs are grouped first by album and then within album by track number.
This is an STVi Plugin for SageTV7.

This is a great start
Any chance of doing the same thing for FLAC files (vorbis comments) with the 'DISCNUMBER' tag?

Yes, it's possible. To make it easier I would need to find a java class that reads the tags. I'll if I can hunt one down, writing one would take a lot more time.

FLAC support
I believe this will work to sort FLAC files by the Vorbis comment DISCNUMBER but I do not have a large FLAC collection to test with.
If you are up to testing just stop Sage, unzip the attached file to the JARs directory and let me know how it works. (That assumes you have already imported the STVi that is available in the Plugin manager. If you have not installed the STVi, install it, stop Sage and then unzip the attached file to the JARs directory.) Thanks, Tom

I have installed the new jars but it doesn't seem to work. I am running the SageTV WHS version and accessing it via an HD200 extender and also a SageTV client running on Win7 X64.
I can't get the client to work at all (even with MP3s that sort OK on the extender). When I view installed Client plugins it shows 'Music Tweaks' is installed. However the music remains unsorted. I can see that the JARs are in the C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV7\SageTV\JARs folder on the client. Also, the extender is now running very slowly when scanning music albums - not sure if this is due to the new update but I will do some more tests later today and report back with more detail. Thanks for all your efforts on this

Thanks for trying this out. As I said, I don't have many FLAC files so I'm sure there is room for improvement
I am assuming you installed Music Tweaks on both the extender and the client. If you did not install it on the extender you will need to so that. How slowly is the extender running and under what conditions? (i.e. Just when browsing albums or all the time, even in non-music menus?) Can you post the log files from both the client and the extender (server)?

EOL?
Is anybody using this PlugIn? If not I will EOL it instead of migrating it from Google Code to GitHub.
