Thanks! Nice plug-in!

I noticed that you are using Yahoo Finance for your data. Originally some of my pink sheet stocks didn't work. Just an FYI for others, you need to add .pk to the end

And, hopefully a minor request but related to the above, is there anyway that you can check to see if there are actual numbers besides "0" out 4 decimal places and if there is to include them? On some of my stocks that are under a penny, you have it limited to show just two decimal places so the stocks are just showing as "0.00" in your plugin Also, for these penny stocks, the amount they change will likely be out 3 or 4 decimal places. For the main screen this is showing as an exponent... It would be nice to have this go out 4 decimal places as well.

Would the above be possible? Would love to use this but I have a few penny stocks and this isn't working well for those

Thanks!

I will look into the decimal places for you. As long as I can make it fit comfortably I will add it.

My real life job is a Financial Advisor, so I couldn't help sticking that comment in The way things are going I may be better of advising all my clients to go to Vegas. But then again, my Berkshire Hathaway is doing just fine.

Change has been submitted. It should be available in a little while from the plugin manager. Let me know if I missed anything.

Thanks,
Josh

Spectacular, Josh!!! Now all my stocks work fabulously

Thanks very much for taking the time to do this... very much appreciated!

This works great as is for me. If though, it isn't too much trouble (and even possible?), when you update it again in the news section the date being right before the headline (even on the same line like... date - headline) would be a nice enhancement I think.

Thanks much for your work on this and making it available for all of us!

Need some extra characters

Looks great !

One small problem I have is that using the HD200 remote keys, there is no option to type in some symbols such as the = which is used for a lot of currency cross rates.

I was able to do this on the server UI, but not showing up on the HD200's - are the portfolios unique to each extender ? If they are stored in text somewhere I could always edit them directly as a workaround.

Ok, so found that the stock list is held in each of the clients file for the extenders. Editing it there allows me to add the other stock symbols, but would be nice if there was a shared repository for all the extenders and clients.

So it appears that the Dow Jones link is no longer working. For several days, the "^DJI" has given the little "failed" symbol. Anyone seeing the same thing?

Since I installed the new HD300, I had to redo my list of stocks. Some others are not working either (besides just ^DJI).

Odd.

Odd.
Stocks are configured separately for each client. When you add a new client you will need to re-add your stock symbols.

I am not sure why the ^DJI symbol stopped working. Something seems to have changed on the yahoo side. I have not upgraded anything on my side for a while, and a once working setup is now not working??? I will give it a few days and see if it starts to work again. If not I may need to make some sort of change to the stock quote library. It is odd that the news feeds and the charts are still working even though the quote is not returning.

Could you give me some other examples besides an index that is not working. I will see if I can find a common theme.

Yeah, I knew that it was "per client"... I didn't explain myself well there...

I guess I was thinking that stocks that were working before don't seem to be working now, but I have no hard proof of that. It's also possible that these stocks work sometimes, and other times they don't, regardless of client, or when they were added. Anyway, one that I entered that did not work was "MMM".

Unfortunately it seems that yahoo's quote service is not returning for symbol ^DJI. I do not know if they are trying to phase it out, or if there is some other reason it is not working, but I was not able to manually get a quote back from yahoo using there csv download page. The Stock Manager program is working properly, it just looks like there is some issues with yahoos service.
