Can't play divX with SageTv client in Vista
This is driving me up the wall. For some reason, on one machine, I can't find a configuration that will play divX files on a windows vist machine. I have installed divX player and VLC and they both play the files no problems. I've tried lots of different configs but eithier I get an error stating it failed to render the video portion or the client just goes 'pop' and vanishes. I've tried all three settings for playing non-mp2 video (I'm currently running SageTV 7 but had the same problem with 6).
Does anyone have any experience of this problem?

Setup: - Server - Intel 3.4G D + XP, 2Gig ram, 3TB of raid. All running in service mode with 2 Hauppauge HVR4000 Running v7 with LMGestion's XMLTV and DG2XML. I also have the web server running. Client - x2 plus PlaceShifter on various machines including eeepc Ubuntu 8.04. I am streaming Live TV to my PocketPC. Stable but can use DVB-S on second HVR400.

Ditch the player and install the divx codec pack:
