installing Sage in different directories

I know I saw someone ask this question in the past day or two, but now I cant find it. Can Sage 7 be installed on the same computer as Sage 6.x for the purpose of testing (running only one at a time, of course), or are there registry entries the the two installations will try to share/overwrite or other potential problems that Im not thinking of?

We don't recommend trying to do this unless you're an advanced user. There shouldn't be any registry conflicts; but you need to worry about file locations for directshow filter registration and also references in the database and properties files.

Thanks for the reply. I tried it first with the client on my local machine and didn't like the results so I decided to just upgrade my v6 install (after backing up, of course).

Overall, I'm liking the new experience very much, thanks for all the time and effort you guys put in!
