Detrimental Pause ?
Sometimes we will pause a video for long periods, say 10 minutes or longer. Any possibility of damage to the hard drive or other system components ?
I guess I should get into the habit of just stopping the video, Sage will start up where we stopped. |

No problem at all. Pausing and Stopping, and sleeping, are all basically the same as far as most hardware goes.

It's not like VHS, where it has to keep re-reading the same section of tape when paused. Once a frame has been read into memory from disk, it can keep displaying it without having to read it again.
About the only thing you risk from extended pauses is image burn-in (if your screen is susceptible to that).
