HDHomeRun fails to tune OTA channel 18 in Miami

Turns out that both my revision 2.3 HDHomerun units with the JINXIN tuner are failing to tune OTA channel 18 in Miami, Florida. This failure appears to be due to the tuner not rejecting a "Image Frequency". "Image Frequency" can be any strong signal 14 and 1/2 channels above the tuned station. In my case 32 is 14 channels above 18. (see; http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...2#post18352512 )

I can demonstrate that blocking the channel 32 signal from the HDHomeRun's will allow channel 18 to lock. and as soon as the units can see the channel 32 signal, channel 18 unlocks.

Does anyone on this forum have an earlier revision HDHomeRun unit working properly on channel 18 in Miami?

Or similar problems with an OTA channel when there is an active channel 14 and 1/2 channel up?

If so, please post the first four numbers of your HDhomeRun ID i.e. "1013xxxx"
1013xxxx and earlier are revision 1
1014xxxx and later are revision 2.

Thanks

Got a Winegard UT-2700 adjustable notch filter, set it up to block channel 32 and channel 18 tunes fine now.

Pretty solid evidence that these tuners are susceptible to the "Image Frequency" problem.

EDIT - channel 18 is working today with out blocking channel 32. First time channel 18 has worked since I bought these HDHomeRun units in December 2009. Something changed in the source??

Interesting, I didn't even know there were different hardware revisions of the HDHR.
