Can't tune OTA with PSIP information

I have a Fusion Gold card and can sucessfully tune all my OTA channels in SageTV except one (I tried both 4.1 release and 4.1.13 beta). I can tune this channel using the fusion application but to make sure that it wasn't something funky that the fusion app was doing I build a graph in GraphEdit and can tune the channel properly. Doing some google searching I found others having trouble tunning the same channel (CFTODTin toronto) with some external ATSC tunners. The problem seems to boil down to the channels PSIP information. The PSIP information maps (not sure this is the right word) the channel from 40-1 to 9-1. (In the fusion app tunning to 40-1 displays 9-1).

I have submitted a bug with Sage support but was wondering if anybody else has this problem and if they found a fix.

You may want to try 4.1.14. There has been ongoing work on ATSC tuning. In .14 I am able to tune a number of channels I couldn't in previous versions and for the first time (at least for me) the virtual channels are being remapped.

peace . . .

I just tried 4.1.14 and I still get the same problem. The signal strength dispalyed is 97% (same value as in the fusion app) but the display say's "no signal". I will play around some more to see if I can get it to work. Is there a debug or a log setting I can turn on to see what it is doing?

Yes, see this FAQ entry.

I haven't jumped into the betas yet, still running 4.1.3 for now. Just wanted to let you know I also have trouble with CFTODT in SageTV, although I have strong enough signal and no trouble tuning in the ATI application and WatchHDTV.

I was able to get picture to tune in Sage by manually adding channel "40-40-3", but usually when I tune to it I don't get audio until I re-tune to the channel a second time. There's a post in the forums somewhere though that discourages adding channels using the numbering format I describe.

Adding the channel manual didn't fix it for me either but by using the latest beta and scanning for channels it all works. It now correctly displays CFTO at 9-1 (40-1 is what I added it as and it gets mapped to 9-1 after the scan) and tunes without issue for me. I can now get all channels that are available in my area. I'm having one final issue with the EPG but I think I found a post that will fix that problem. I had entered the station ID incorrectly when adding the channel and couldn't figure out how to clear it. The solution appears to be re-map the channel to remove it, wait for the epg to update then add the channel again. I will give it a shot and if it works I'm good to go.
