Question Lost ALL audio (Renderer issue?)

Been switching over to a Windows 7 platform (32bit). I'm almost done...except for audio issues. Sound was working fine then I totally lost it for no apparent reason. Here are some observations that may help diagnose the problem...

The problem...
  • I get NO audio on any playback (Live, Recorded, DVD)
  • Menu sounds don't work (using SageMC)
Observations...
  • Windows Media Player works and all other Windows sound devices work (indicates that the sound card/driver/amp are configured properly)
  • My HD200 works fine - no issues (indicates that decoders are working, sound issue isolated to PC)
  • I confirmed that I have the correct audio renderer selected, C-Media. I can see that SageTV takes over the audio when it starts (on my stereo I see the display switch to DolbyDigital). I also verified I had the correct driver by disabling it in windows...it no longer was an available selection in Sage. (indicates that I have the correct renderer selected???)
  • Using latest versions of SageTV & SageMC
  • Using Windows 7 32 bit.
Can it still be a renderer issue or something else?
Is there something in Sage that would totally mute everything?

It's crunch time. I've committed to using the new platform and my wife just got home from work. Boy is she gonna' be pissed when she can't watch her soaps on the big screen.

I've had the same, or a very similar, problem myself. There are several threads which might be of help, for example this one, and this one.

Post #44 on the second link may be your the quickest route to an answer.

Interesting stuff but I didn't get to try it out. I already reverted to an old image and restarted from there. Things seem to be working fine now.
