Multiple HD-PVR blasters at the same time

I currently have SageTV server running on a WHS box with an HD-PVR and multiple internal tuners. I currently use the HD-PVR's blaster to control the STB connected to it. I'm close to purchasing a second HD-PVR and would like to use the new box's blaster for its STB.

Does anyone on this board have experience using 2 HD-PVR blasters simultaneously? The blastercfg program doesn't seem very flexible and I have concerns about trying to use them both concurrently. Looking for any advice/feedback regarding this.

I can't find FW drivers for the new HD Samsung STBs TWC is rolling out here so I don't think I can move to FW. I'm trying to avoid buying a USB-UIRT if I don't have to.

Thanks,
Josh

As mentioned in the SageTV PDF manual's Appendix F: Infrared Receivers & Transmitters, under the Hauppauge IR Blaster section, you cannot use multiple Hauppauge IR blasters (on Windows anyway; I've seen comments that you can if using Linux).

Hmm, I don't remember reading that, but thanks for the reference. I figured the limitation was the blastercfg program from hauppage, as linux doesn't need it and lirc can handle using multiple blasters at the same time. Was just hoping someone may have some hack or trickery to make it work.

Guess I have a USB-UIRT in my future!
