USB-UIRT and an STB

I have a sagetv server setup in the basement with a USB-UIRT with 2 zones and it is programmed to send the remote codes to each box and change channels accordingly and it works perfectly. I have a sagetv client upstairs in the livingroom that has a USB-UIRT on it with lm remote keymap installed to receive remote codes from my universal remote. It receives signals translates them into the key commands and sends signals to the server which then sends it on to the USB-UIRT to change the channel of the STB in the basement. The setup works flawlessly, except for one piece. What I don't understand, is how I can pass a command through LM through sagetv client to the sagetv server and out the USB-UIRT downstairs to interface the OSD of the STB's -- for instance I can change channels, but I can't operate the menus to order on demand. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. FYI -- I have SageMC 6.3.9a, SageTV 6.6.218 running on Win2k3 for server and WinXP SageMC 6.3.9a, SageTV Client 6.6.218 running LM kemap 6.8.
