Need help configuring Cyberlink 9 Codecs with Sage
So I had everything working just fine and then I got the urge to upgrade and tinker. I know, stupid me, shoulda left well enough alone but alas here I am.
I recently upgraded my amplifier for a number of reasons and for the most part its working well BUT, I'm having some issues with sending the sound over HDMI. Currently I have things connected with an HDMI out from my Sapphire 5770 to the HDMI input on the amp and a digital coax cable out from my motherboard to the amp. I can get audio to go over the HDMI line for 2 channel audio but I can't get it to send 5.1 from Sage. If I use Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 it will send the 5.1 over the HDMI without an issue. I have tried using GraphEdit to configure the Cyberlink Codecs for the Sage configuration but that method will only let me select 2 channel audio, not Send over SPDIF. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I have the 5.1 audio going perfectly over the motherboard audio so why isn't it as simple as changing my default audio device in Windows? I'm currently running Windows XP Pro SP2, the latest version of Sage with SageMC. On a side note, since I switched to Digital Audio, I can no longer mute any of my HD programming, but Analog programs will mute just fine. What's up with that? -Striker- Last edited by Striker:WG; 01-21-2010 at 12:18 AM. |

Well, I solved the issue. The problem was that I was using the Default Audio Renderer and apparently the Cyberlink codecs don't like that. I switched the setting in Sage to use the Cyberlink Audio Renderer and now I get my SPIDF passthrough.
