Cyberlink Audio Decoder
I just bought Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 Deluxe so that I could use the h264 video codec. I was considering using the audio codec as well, but I'm having problems. When I watch HD it works although has considerably lower volume than AC3Filter. But when I watch SD I get no sound at all. I'm using the on-board sound with SPDIF out. Is there a setting I might be missing?

You're getting lower audio through spdif, or the analog out?

I'm getting lower audio through SPDIF when watching HD with AC3. I get no sound with Mpeg2 files. When watching h.264 and divx I get perfect sound at a reasonable volume. This is why I wanted to change to this audio codec instead of AC3Filter.

Nope. I'm running XP SP2 with Sagetv Client 6.2.4(beta).

I tried to revert to 6.1.9 and that had no effect. I'm still searching.

One more thing. The audio on mpeg2 files works perfectly in PowerDVD.

I can echo your remarks; I had the exact same symptoms. I stopped using the Cyberlink audio decoder because of it. Running 6.2.4 beta on XP too.
