hickup on video play changing programs

My server is Win7 and my client is Win7. On my client, I get a stutter when the program changes on the hour or half hour, depending on the length of the program. Thoughts on why? I assume its stuttering while sage creates the new file for the next program. Thanks in advance for help.

It's an artifact of the Window's file system closing up the file... not much one can do about it from the end user's point of view.

This is normal for SageTV as they use a different type of buffering system. It makes the software seem archaic, but there's nothing we can do about it.

Does this mean it's present in the Linux and Mac versions as well?
