New System Hickup-
Hello -
Just set up a new system with the following - Shuttle mobo w/ Nvidia chipset Athlon 2500+ Chaintech Nvidia 5200 512 Ram / 200Gb SATA 1 Hauppague 350 2 ATI eHome Wonders XP Pro SP1 Sage .20 (never had .19) OK - Had the machine running like a champ for 2 days with just the 350 with no issues - it recorded, paused, and did everything else perfect with no crashes. Added the 2 ehomes and there was no problem as far as the system went, XP found them and Sage recognized them. I set them up and I had both looking good from a system level. Functionality is a different story though. The 350 still works as it should. eHome 1 records video but no audio eHome 2 records black. I figured this out by setting up 3 simultaneous programs to record, went to the status page to see which card was doing what, then played the recording to verify the contents (both in sage and the actual mpeg itself). I uninstalled the cards in the sage software then installed them again, same deal. Under the XP sys info, it reports both card are functioning. Any ideas? Thanks - |

OK - I removed the 'black only' eHome from Sage and started to toubleshoot the 350 with the other eHome. Turns out the audio issue must be one of priority or something along those lines. When I close all files and restart the scenario, sometimes the audio is good with the 350 and sometimes with the eHome but not both.

You might want to do some searching. I'd also definitely contact Frey support and file an officail support request. There have been several recent posts by users mentioning possible issues that the .20 update may have caused. I'd ask Frey support to enable debug longging on your system, so you can provide them the info needed to get your system up and running.
Other than that, I'll leave advice up to users who actually have a eHome themselves. Their firsthand advice should be much more usefull than any I can provide. Best of luck
