Sleep\Standby Probem with Sage Client
This has been going on for quite awhile and spans several different machines and builds. It happens on both Win7 and Vista. Most current Sage Client running SageMC.
Sage appears to ignore my Power Management setting (Screen Off-30 min\Standby-1 hour). Whenever I am in Sage it will put the machine to sleep in minutes. This can be really annoying when I pause a show and go get a drink and it is in standby before I can get back. I can wake it with the remote but it takes a minute or so. I have looked got Power Management setting in SageMC and Sage and have disabled anything I have found. Is anyone else having this issue? |

Yes, I have the same problem with Win 7---just happened again last night when I paused my HD-200 and went to the other room for a minute or so and it was in standy. Never did this in XP.

Noticed that this will only happen after it has been on for awhile. After I first wake the PC it will be fine but after awhile it will take almost no time for it to go to sleep. Still a Pain in Butt. Any ideas.

I believe sage 'prevents standby'.. but it does not reset the idle timers. therefore, once it has been awake for an hour (or whatever you sleep timer is), it will already be 'idle'. Sage UI interaction via sendmessage, or the built-in remote commands is not considered 'user activity' by windows (only HID is... mouse and keyboard.. or MCE remote, I believe). Therefore, as soon as you stop watching something in sage, it will release the system from it's 'prevent sleep' mode, and the system will soon start snoring.
