Try disabling regular import dir rescanning in Detailed Setup -> Customize.

I can see this. I am using SageMC could this be hiding it/moved it? I looked on the config file to see if i could set it there, but could not find it either.

Thanks

SageMC doesn't always have the latest configuration option settings coded into it. So, just jump back into the stock Sage STV for a minute, change the setting, and then go back to SageMC.

I switched back to the default stv and am still unable to find this option...could someone provide a screenshot of this please? Also, can this be changed in the properties file, that way I dont need the screen as i cant find it.

FYI I am running 5.0.4 of sagetv, if that makes a difference.

thank you.

Disabling regular import dir rescanning is a new v6 feature IIRC.

Oh yeah... that option was added for the v6 UI. It uses the seeker/periodically_scan_library property, but that might be new for v6 too; I don't remember.

Ok, so that is the issue. How do current users allow their pc to sleep when running the sage GUI? do most people just leave the pc on?

Further to this, can SageTV be set up so that, it automatically wakes up the machine from standby, to record something (yes, I have it doing that already), and then goes back to sleep afterwards, with the PC going back into standby after a short idle time (no luck so far, but it must be possible, right??).

??
