Temporary Live TV files not being deleted

Hey folks,

I just migrated my Sage Server to WHS and I notice that temporary live tv files are not getting deleted. In the settings I have intelligent recording off and delete live tv files is enabled.

Note that since I'm running on WHS initial server setup was done via HD-200 extender.

Update... Still no joy. Live TV recordings delete from the SageTV database but they still show up in my Videos\SageTV share. I can delete scheduled recordings no problem so it shouldn't be a permissions problem.

I've tried rerunning the config wizard but nadda.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears...

Thanks!

How long are you leaving it to see if they're being deleted?

They don't delete instantly, Sage does a cleanup every so often, though I don't know the exact timings.

You say you can delete scheduled recordings ok. Is this through explorer or through the Sage GUI ? Just wondering if the user account Sage runs as has write permissions to the folders but not delete.

Thanks for the reply Doc.

I can delete scheduled recordings from the Sage GUI, so my reasoning was that this rules out a folder permissions problem. I also notice that the sagetvservice is running as a 'system' user, for what that is worth.

The files just seem to persist, we're talking over 24 hours. It seemed to me that on my previous server the deletion was pretty quick...

I've noticed that files from live TV and from channel preview seem to be lingering longer (w SageTV 6.6.2) than they used to. Not sure when it started, but the ones I do see are not more than a few days old. So they seem to be getting removed in fairly short order.

Yup, it should be closer to minutes than hours!

Are you running a modified STV or the default one? If its a modified one or SageMC, you could try changing back to the default one, check the settings again and then switch back.

Other than that, I'm at a loss I'm afraid

I have one HD200 extender running SageMC and one running the default STV. Both exhibit this problem.
