transcoding - where are the temporary files?

Where do the temporary files go when transcoding during playback on MVP?

I am used to GBPVR and when I stream files to the MVP via GBPVR, a temporary file is created on the fly (I have written a batch file to rename this file and copy it elsewhere, so as to avoid getting deleted.) Then Next time I don't need to transcode the file. This would be useful in SageTV

Is there a way of doing this in SageTV? Where do the temporary transcoding files go??

I am not aware of any file being created in the on-the-fly transcoding. However, you can just use the convert option which will create the file and then that will be permanently stored.
